Guiding Principles

1. Reggio Washington cherishes the Reggio Emilia Way and respect the pedagogy and practices of the Reggio Emilia

preschools and infant-toddler centers as well as the organization.

2. Reggio Washington enrourages participants in our program to discuss ideas, learn from each other, and share experiences in

the process of disseminating the Reggio Emilia Way.

3. Reggio Washington strives to engage in empirical research relating to Reggio Emilia Way and to ensure that the

educational philosophy of Reggio Emilia is developed in a way that sits within the cultural context of our program participants.
